Brian Kane designed Swoop for the way people sit today—in a word, personally. Because there are no hard edges or 90-degree angles, the “swooping” form created as the arms curve into the seat accommodates a variety of postures and positions: legs crossed, curled up, or settled in.

Going With the Grain

The richness and sense of material quality that the exposed 3/8-inch-thick plywood shell conveys lends a sense of timelessness to the design.

Put Your Feet Up

A coordinating ottoman features the same fluid lines and mix of materials as the lounge chair.
