Everyone has had the experience of living without a sofa for some period of time. This feeling inspired our Norwegian designers Anderssen & Voll to come up with a new modular sofa program for Artifort: Big Island.

To most of us this experience meant our homes were lacking the proper possibilities for retreating. Big Island is just the opposite: it is a place to sit down, to settle your thoughts and to relax in your own home. It gives the hideaway feeling you get on a real island. It's the ultimate hub of your home.

Anderssen & Voll was established in 2009 by Torbjørn Anderssen (1976) and Espen Voll (1965). Anderssen & Voll works within various fields of design, but focus on the domestic objects. Big Island is the first design Anderssen & Voll made for Artifort. Anderssen & Voll have received several awards fort heir work, including Wallpaper Award, IF Award and Honorary Award for best Design in Norway.
