The Carl Hansen & Son Semi-Annual Sale
Yesterday we talked about the Artek Semi Annual Sale that kicks off today, but that’s not the only sale we’re currently promoting. We’re pleased to announce that we’ve launched the Carl Hansen & Søn Semi-Annual Sale. Until March 17th, you can save up to fifteen percent on all of the Carl Hansen & Søn was founded in 1908 by its namesake, Carl Hansen. In 1934, his son Holger took over the business and joined with sewing machine manufacturer Singer, producing wooden cases for a few models. After World War II the company would join forces with several then up and coming Danish furniture designers, perhaps most notably Hans J. Wegner who would go on to become one of the most important figures in the Danish modern movement.
Some of the unique Carl Hansen & Søn items we have for sale include the intriguing Hans Wegner designed CH07 Lounge, the stainless steel CH106 Coffee Table also designed by Wegner, and the unusual CH24 Wishbone Chair. The company is also recognized for its stylish CH103 Three Seat Sofa, yet another one of the many Hans Wegner designs. The sofa is handmade over a beech wood frame and also features legs made of stainless steel.
