Herman Miller's Cosm chair is a chair for everyone.
In a world of task chairs with hyper-sensitive dials and different sizes, it's pleasing to see a design that has a one size fits all approach, such as the Cosm chair.
Herman Miller's collaboration with Studio 7.5 is a timely piece of design, considering our ever changing workplace from a stationary single-user workstation to a more flexible shared workplace.
While chairs such as the Aeron Chair are built for the individual, with it's numerous sizes, dials and levers to customize user experience, Cosm is a "one size fits all" task chair that conforms and adjusts to each users posture, weight and pressure points without the need for any adjustment.
The Cosm chair features an Auto-harmonic tilt which provides a balanced recline that's smooth and high quality, while it's "leaf arms" are positioned beautifully for holding objects or reading materials, however don't get in the way when seated at a workstation.
The slender frame offers a flexible support system while keeping it's minimal aesthetic intact, allowing the user to move freely, without distraction.
Cosm's color story is beautiful. Available in 5 color's, the entire chair is what Herman Miller describes as "dipped" meaning the frame, webbing and base are monotone which is pleasing a very current.
