With HAL, Jasper Morrison has created a reinterpretation of the multifunctional shell chair and a varied chair range with a distinctly contemporary appearance. The shape of HAL‘s shell ensures plenty of freedom of movement and the slightly flexible plastic makes many different sitting positions possible – even sideways and astride the chair. Because of this, HAL facilitates dynamic, ergonomic seating. The selection of bases, shell colors and fabric covers opens up a wide range of choices. HAL can be used in all kinds of environments – in the office, as well as in public spaces and in the home. Combining the chair with the matching HAL Table, which was developed at the same time, is also an option.

The combination of a plywood seat shell and an understated four-legged base in chrome-plated or powder-coated tubular steel makes HAL Ply Tube one of the most elegant and highly versatile versions in the HAL family of chairs by Jasper Morrison.

Material description:
- Glides: colour matched to the small attachment parts for the seat shell, choice of white (except HAL Wood and HAL Ply Wood) or basic dark. All bases fitted with glides for carpet; felt glides optionally available for hard floors.
- Seat shell: plywood (USA).
- Base: four-legged base in tubular steel, non-stackable, chrome-plated or powder-coated in ivory or basic dark.
