    Nelson Pear Lotus Table Lamp

***** USUALLY SHIPS IN   20-30 business days *****

    Design George Nelson, 1952
Steel skeleton, self-webbing soft plastic, brushed metal base
    Made by Herman Miller

Part of the Nelson Bubble Lamp series, the Nelson Pear Lotus Table Lamp flares at the center. The lamp’s lightweight steel frame is seen as parallel lines along its surface. Perfect for a table setting, the lamp has a steel base and an easy-to-use pull chain with a solid walnut end.

Use with up to 150 watt bulb. Light bulb not included.

Bringing a graceful presence to a table setting, the Nelson Pear Lotus Table Lamp is set on a steel base that is available with or without a walnut cover, and includes an 86-inch plug-in cord. A pull chain with a solid walnut end provides a convenient way to turn the lamp on and off. In 1952, a set of Swedish hanging lamps were introduced into the American market and George Nelson was impressed enough to want one for his office. When he learned that it was available at a Swedish import store in New York, he hurried to acquire one. A price tag of $125, steep at the time, prevented him from buying one but it also inspired him to design his own. Soon after, a collection of pendant, sconce, tripod, table, and floor lamps was born.

The George Nelson Bubble Lamp® collection is featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Herman Miller is the official site for the George Nelson Bubble Lamp® Collection.

    Dimensions: 26.5" h | 13" w | shade: 12.5" h | 13" w

UL listed | requires 1x150 watt max bulb
