Product description
The Arne Jacobsen Bankers Wall Clock comes from a commission for Danmarks Nationalbank, the National Bank of Denmark, for which Arne Jacobsen designed the clock in 1971. The dial has no numerals. Instead, fine segmented tracks run out from the center at each hour, an elegant spiral detail that shows time progressing around the face, finished with slim hands and a red center cap.
The current version follows Jacobsen's original drawings. An aluminum case surrounds a concave mineral glass front, which makes the clock appear to hover slightly off the wall, and the body is completed in ABS. The Bankers Wall Clock is offered in five sizes from 4.7 to 18.9 inches in diameter. The White version has a white dial with black and red details, and the Black version, available in Medium and Large, has a black dial with white markings. The Extra Small model shares its 4.7 inch diameter with the Bankers barometer, hygrometer and thermometer, so the pieces can be hung together as a weather station.
