Beso, Spanish for ‘kiss’, is an affordable and highly versatile chair programme created by our Dutch designer Khodi Feiz. Our Beso collection includes a Beso chair, a Beso Lounge armchair and a Beso barstool. 

Versatile chair programme

We particularly like the juxtaposition between powerful and simplistic in the Beso design, so it works with most decors. In terms of shape and construction, the Beso allows for long comfortable dinners with friends and family or brainstormsessions, without the need to take a break or stretch your legs. You can combine your favourite base with a beautiful fabric, and optional armrests. 

Innovative production approach

With Beso, designer Khodi Feiz is breaking new ground for Artifort. This innovative dining chair reflects a production approach that is economical without compromising on design or comfort. ‘The notion of lightness, flexibility and comfort is what I like about this collection of chairs.’ explains Feiz. ‘The Beso takes an innovative approach to construction and upholstery. This allows us to dress the chairs very simply using a hidden zipper system.’

Khodi Feiz is an industrial designer who was born in Iran and grew up in the USA. A graduate of Syracuse University, he moved to the Netherlands in 1990 to work for Philips Design. In 1998, he founded Feiz Design Studio together with graphic designer Anneko Feiz-van Dorssen, where they specialize in the fields of product design, furniture design, graphic design, and strategic design for companies such as Alessi, Artifort, Herman Miller, Offecct, Nike and Nokia. Feiz's work has received numerous awards and has been featured in exhibitions and publications worldwide. The overriding inspirations for Feiz’s work can be summed up by: Clarity, concept and context.
