A bar serves as one of the centerpieces of the home, entertaining guests, friends and loved ones as you share experiences, memories, and great conversations over a drink or some tasty bites. Besides the counter, one of the first pieces of furniture your guests will notice is the seating. An elegant piece of modern bar seating can give just about any bar a unique personality, drawing attention to and making for a great conversation piece while also providing eye-catching, contemporary comfort.

 

Our modern bar stools and chairs consist of some of the most iconic works by many notable designers and today’s leading manufacturers, falling into one of the two categories: counter-height stools and bar height stools. Italian sculptor Harry Bertoia’s namesake Bertoia Barstool with Seat Pad by Knoll and its welded steel frame continues to be an attention grabber over fifty years after its debut. The famous “Cherner Chair” designed and named after Norman Cherner was unveiled in 1958 and is available in counter and bar stool with the option of arms.

 

To find the right bar stool, you’ll need to measure the height of your counter or table, beginning from the floor up to tabletop bottom. You’ll also need to take into account the spaces between each stool as well as between the stool and the surface height.
