Comfort in Tight Spaces
The sofa compact's clean profile and crisp, light scale evolved from a built-in sofa that Charles and Ray Eames designed for the living room of their Pacific Palisades home. Knowing this makes "compact" seem less curious, especially for a sofa that comfortably seats three. Two horizontal foam pads with welting cord form the sofa's comfortably high back. A black enameled steel frame and chrome-plated tubular steel legs provide the foundation. In continuous production since 1954, the sofa compact remains perfectly scaled for tight spaces in executive suites, lounges and homes.

Support in all the Right Places
With two foam pads along the angled back and a foam seat cushion resting on a steel and wire-spring armature, the sofa compact provides firm, flexiblesupport from shoulders to knees.

Offered in Herman Miller's Echelon Fabric, made from 100% Polyester and is available in a variety of colors.
