Design Charles & Ray Eames
Molded wood, veneer, metal legs, upholstery
Made by Herman Miller
The authentic form of the Eames Stool is the result of a process that gives wood veneer the extra flexibility it needs to be molded into the complex curves of a single-form wood shell. Set atop a 4-leg base in bar or counter heights, these stools bring a touch of style to any setting. The choice of several veneers for the shell and finish options for the base adds to their versatility. Counter height stool has a seat height of 25 inches, and the bar height stool seat height is 29.5 inches.
The plywood molding technique perfected by Charles and Ray Eames led to the development of a number of iconic designs for Herman Miller—in addition to laying the foundation for a major movement in modern furniture design. Yet in their lifetimes, the Eameses were unable to execute their single-shell chair design in molded wood. Decades later, thanks to a proprietary process of 3-D veneer manufacturing technology, the complex curves of Eames Molded Wood Shell Chairs were finally realized. The refined, enduring molded wood shell form is available as Eames Molded Wood Stools.
Eames Molded Wood Stools are available in several veneers and come with an optional upholstered seat pad for enhanced comfort. The 4-leg base comes in bar- or counter-height, and offers its own choice of finish options.

Counter height stool with seat pad: 18.75" w | 21.75" d | 40.25" h | seat: 26.25" h | foot rest: 8.5" h
