Design, Alberto Meda, 2000
Polished aluminum, steel, polycarbonate
Made in Italy by Kartell
Thanks to the refined combination of colors and finishes, and to the flexibility of the project (the single clothes-hanger hooks are mobile and allow greater freedom and practical use), this clothes-hanger collection joins perfect elegance and functionality. The clothes stand, with attached umbrella ring, comes in brushed aluminum or metallized black finishes. Hooks are available in five different colors.
From 1973, Alberto Meda was the technical manager of Kartell, responsible for the control of the furniture and plastics laboratory equipment. In 1979 he started as a freelance industrial designer for various companies: Alfa Romeo Auto, Ansaldo Sistemi Industriali, Alias, Alessi, Cinelli, Colombo design, Gaggia, Ideal Standard, Italtel Telematica, Luceplan, Legrand, Mandarina Duck, Omron Japan, Philips, Vitra.
His designs are part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art of Toyama and since 1994 The Museum of Modern Art in New York. Included in the Design Collection; "Light light " chair 1987 , "Soft light "chair 1989, "Longchair" 1991 by Alias , and "On-Off "lamp by Luceplan 1988.
