*****USUALLY SHIPS IN 25-30 BUSINESS DAYS****

Design Charles & Ray Eames, 1946
Molded plywood, metal or wood legs
Made by Herman Miller

It was Charles and Ray Eameses' boldly original plywood chairs that first established the designers' long and legendary relationship with Herman Miller in 1946. Their groundbreaking work with wood-molding techniques resulted not only in chic, comfortable chairs, but also had a profound effect on the design world. The aesthetic integrity, enduring charm and exceptional comfort of the chairs earned them recognition from Time magazine as "The Best Design of the 20th Century." Time described the classic design as "...something elegant, light and comfortable. Much copied, but never bettered."

Available in Walnut, White Ash, Ebony, Natural Cherry, Santos Palisander or Red Stain.

Comes with Herman Miller's 5-Year Warranty.

  • Upholstry and Finish Choices

These chairs can be upholstered in just about any fabric you like. When upholstered, the chair’s back and seat have exposed veneer on the back sides. Veneers are available in six wood finishes—white ash, ebonized ash, natural cherry, walnut, and santos palisander. Or you can have them in a richly grained birch veneer stained red.

    • Solid Construction

The plywood has natural face veneers with hardwood inner plies and a five-ply seat and back, together with gracefully curved eight-ply legs. Natural rubber shock mounts absorb movement. The dining chair is 29.5 inches high and has a straighter back, more appropriate for dining, than the lounge chair.
