Design Charles & Ray Eames, 1948
Molded plastic, solid wood dowel legs
Made by Herman Miller
A landmark design from Charles and Ray Eames first introduced at New York's Museum of Modern Art in 1948, these molded plastic chairs comprise clean, simple forms sculpted to cradle the body. Ahead of their time, the Eamses adapted molding techniques developed during WWII to produce the first industrially manufactured plastic chairs. Today's chairs remain true to the original design, but are manufactured with updated, eco-friendly materials.
Shells are available in White, Black, Red, Blue, Green, Sparrow, Aqua Sky, Java, Wafer and Greystone with your choice of maple, walnut or ebony wooden dowel bases.
Comes with Herman Miller's 5-Year Warranty.
