The VLA61 Monarch Chair was designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen in 1944, and only ten chairs were originally produced. The chair has a poetic design, functionalist details and an elegant interplay between soft upholstery and the carefully hand-polished frame. Available in several variants.

Semi-aniline ox hide with a natural grain and a coated surface; good touch and low breathability; some visible scars or other marks; requires low-maintenance and resists most stains and fading from sunlight; for those who want a good balance between maintenance and comfort.

Sif
Full grain, uncoated pure aniline ox hide; only the very finest hides are chosen; no final pigmentation or coating are applied, so slight variations within hides and between hides may occur; most exclusive touch and the highest breathability; light or vegetal colors will age with patina and grace; also very susceptible to stains; darker colors may fade if exposed to direct sunlight; for those who want the very best comfort and quality.
