    The Eames Stool in its plastic iteration is styled in the tradition of Eames Molded Fiberglass Chairs but made from recyclable polypropylene. Inviting and stylish, the Eames Molded Plastic Stool fits anywhere stools are used, from cafés and bistros to breakfast nooks and break rooms. Atop a 4-leg bar- or counter-height base, the durable shells are available upholstered or in a range of colors. A choice of base colors rounds out your customization options. The counter height stool has a seat height of 25 inches, and the bar height stool seat height is 29.5 inches.

    Charles and Ray Eames’ career-long exploration of the chair as a single-shell form yielded numerous expressions of this idea, beginning in 1950 with the Molded Fiberglass Chairs. When the environmental risks associated with fiberglass production were realized, the Molded Fiberglass Chair was discontinued. In 2004, Herman Miller reintroduced the Molded Plastic Chair in recyclable polypropylene. The Eames Molded Plastic Stool was introduced in 2015.

      Tailor Made
      An array of trim, finely tailored Hopsak fabrics designed by Alexander Girard, Herman Miller's Textile Director from 1952 to 1973, fully restoring the integrity of the original 1953 shell chair offerings. Reproduced as faithfully as possible to Girard's original weave and color selections, the textile boasts one enhancement: it now uses more sustainable constructions and materials such as antimony-free polyester. Additional textile choices round out the collection of shell customization options.
