Design Tito Agnoli, 1954 Metal Made in Italy by Oluce
The Agnoli Floor Lamp was designed by Tito Agnoli in 1955, and is made in Italy. A modern lighting icon named after its designer, the Agnoli Floor Lamp showcases the true beauty of minimalism. Made up of two parts, this modern floor lamp consists of a round, thick travertine base which supports the tall, slim stem made from metal. Attached to the stem by a sliding tube is the single light source, which is an exposed bulb that can be slid up and down the stem to adjust the height of the light. Perfect in a bedroom, living room, or home office, this modern lamp will provide generous, ambient light as well as not distract from the decor of the surrounding environment.
Master designer Giuseppe Ostuni founded Italy-based lighting brand Oluce in 1945. Now the oldest Italian design company still in existence and actively producing today, many of Oluces domed lights are now on permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. Ostunis award-winning and dramatically arced floor lamps, domed table lamps and pendants, glass scones, and uniquely-shaped outdoor lighting have influenced the lighting and design industry for decades and will continue to do so for generations to come.
