Cabinet with Swing Door

Designed by Nils Strinning

The String System is a Scandinavian shelving system designed to make all your storage problems go away. Build the shelf of your dreams by designing your own unique combination, mixing metal shelves, wooden shelves, and colorful elements––the possibilities are endless.

The String Cabinets with Swing Doors fit into all 11.8" deep wire and plex panels from the String System. Add a cabinet as a border cabinet to a shelf for extra storage and a visually pleasing configuration. The door can be mounted on either side of the cabinet, which features one adjustable inner shelf.

The String Shelving System is well known for its distinctive wire panels, first introduced by architects Nisse Strinning and Kajsa Strinning back in 1949 as part of a competition to design a shelf that was affordable, easy to ship, and easy to assemble. In the 1950s and 1960s, String was installed in the UN Headquarters offices in New York.

Materials
All wood options: Veneered particleboard. The surface is treated with a clear lacquer with gloss 5. | White/Beige/Grey: Lacquered MDF with gloss 35.

Dimensions:
22.8"W x 16.5"H x 11.8"D | Internal Dimensions: 21.3"W x 15"H x 10.2"D
