Designed by Alvar Aalto, the daybed's solid birch frame is constructed using Aalto's famous "L-leg" technology, providing a sturdy yet lightweight structure. Also designed by Aalto, the removable mattress cover which features his graphic Siena pattern. Insisting that they heightened the human element, Aalto believed that textiles were an important aspect in designing an interior space. The repeating black and white rectangular Siena pattern has a beautiful simplicity that is reminiscent of his clean-lined furniture. Celebrating his textile and furniture design prowess, the Aalto Daybed with the Siena mattress is the total package.
