With pleasing proportions and exquisite materials, the Eames Executive Chair wears its name proudly. Yet, this 1959 design is known by an alias: the Time-Life Chair. Charles and Ray designed it for the lobbies of the Time-Life Building at Rockefeller Center.

You'll understand the minute you settle into the Eames Executive Chair: comfort comes first. The chair's seat and back cushions are contoured and cushioned in thick foam—4½ inches in the seat, 3 inches in the back. Armrests are well padded. And with a width of 26 ½ inches, the chair provides plenty of room to settle in.
