Design Charles & Ray Eames, 1950
Wire frame, stone top
Made by Herman Miller®
A small, low table of elegant proportions, this 1950 classic Eames design has been updated with stone tops and durable powder coatings that give it new life outdoors. There's no end to what you can do with these smart little tables. Group them to make a large surface or spread them out among guests. Use them anywhere you need a small outdoor table that makes a big statement. They stack out of the way when you’re not using them.
Built to Last
The table's compact size—13 ¼ inches deep, 15 ½ inches wide, 10 inches high—make it versatile and easy to move around the deck, terrace, or pool side.
To make the tables appropriate for outdoor use, we chose two powder-coat finishes for the wire bases and four durable stone finishes for the tops. Each comes from a North American quarry. Georgia White Marble is a luminescent stone from the quarry that produced the marble used for the sculpture of Abraham Lincoln at the Lincoln Memorial.
Another stone from Georgia, the Georgia Grey Marble is a cloudy grey and comes from the quarry that produced the marble used in the 2004 renovation of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Quebec Graphite Granite, a subtly patterned, deep-hued stone, was used to rich effect in Chicago's John Hancock Center. Wisconsin Black Marble is a unique dark stone speckled with lustrous green and grey veins. Each stone top is cut to order and features beveled edges that echo the original birch plywood tops.
