The PH 3/2 Table Lamp brings Poul Henningsen’s iconic three-shade system to a larger table-lamp format, creating a broad, comfortable pool of light without exposing the eye directly to the light source. Introduced as part of Henningsen’s early PH family, the design uses carefully calculated shade proportions to direct most of the light downward while allowing the mouth-blown glass to create a soft ambient glow around the fixture.
The PH 3/2 is a “hybrid-size” PH lamp: its upper shade is approximately 30 cm in diameter, while the middle and lower shades are derived from the smaller PH 2/2 proportions. This combination makes the lamp effective on desks, consoles, dressers and side tables where both task light and atmosphere are important.
Lighting & Materials
- Reflective three-shade System PH design for soft, harmonious and glare-reduced illumination
- Standard versions feature mouth-blown three-layer White Opal glass, glossy on the exterior and sandblasted matte underneath
- Pale Rose configuration uses colored mouth-blown glass paired with brass
- Metalized, high-lustre chrome-plated, glossy-color or brass metalwork depending on selected finish
- In-line on/off switch with cord and plug on standard U.S. configurations
