This is the Tetragon rug of the Parquet collection, a series of three kilims created by Swedish design studio Front. Their inspiration came from old parquet flooring patterns, and their varied dispositions and geometry. This frequent combination of square and rectangular shapes, traditional in parquet compositions, has been applied to the Tetragon rug with vivid colors, specifically selected to create a three-dimensional sensation. Since it is irregularly shaped, Tetragon also allows for interesting compositions of more than one piece.

The kilim is an artisan method of rug making in which the weft is tightly woven on a manual loom, using only threads and no knotting. The result is a light fabric with no pile, similar to that of upholstery. It is a technique that offers great flexibility, a feature that GAN explores thoroughly to create high-impact details.
