The PH 2/2 Wall Lamp Centenary Edition celebrates 100 years of Poul Henningsen’s System PH, the three-shade lighting principle introduced in 1926 to create controlled, comfortable and glare-free illumination. The compact wall-mounted composition combines warm upward ambience with softly diffused downward light, making it well suited to bedrooms, hallways, living spaces and hospitality interiors.
The Centenary Edition combines an Amber upper shade with White Opal lower shades and aged brass metalwork. The contrasting glass layers create a warmer glow above the fixture while maintaining the soft, even downward illumination associated with the PH family. The aged brass is carefully lacquered to preserve its patinated character.
Lighting & Design
- Based on the original System PH reflective three-shade principle
- “Whole-size” PH 2/2 proportions use a top shade of approximately 20 cm with lower shades in the classic 3:2:1 relationship
- Amber upper shade adds warm ambient uplight
- White Opal lower shades provide soft, diffused and glare-reduced downward light
Materials & Finish
- Top shade: mouth-blown four-layer Amber glass, glossy outside with a sandblasted white inner surface
- Lower shades: mouth-blown three-layer White Opal glass, glossy outside with sandblasted matte-white inner surfaces
- Arm and wall box: aged brass with fine hairlines and protective lacquer
