Skydro ceiling lamp is a further development of the Hydro series. A series of pebbles forms a bright sky reflecting the light that bounces on its biomorphic surfaces. Skydro features Abs injection-molded reflective units with lighting unit in die cast aluminum and painted steel bearing structure.

Ross Lovegrove studied design at Manchester Polytechnic and subsequently trained at the Royal College of Art in London. At frog design, he contributed to the design of the Sony Walkman and Apple computers. As an in-house designer for Knoll International in Paris, Lovegrove worked on the Alessandri office system. As a co-member of the Atelier de Nimes, along with Philippe Starck and Jean Nouvel, he acted as a design consultant to Luis Vuitton, Cacharel, Dupont and Hermés. In 1990, he created Studio X in London. Lovegrove is inspired by forms of the natural world, the possibilities of new manufacturing techniques and the ability to evoke an emotional response in users.

Skydro is offered in two versions: the first, in which the indirect light comes from a lighting unit integrated into the lamp, the second, in which the indirect light comes from a wall projector that is separate from the lamp. Skydro is a sectional unit that enables numerous elements to be added. To assemble the multiple units it needs - in addition to the basic units (with or without light source) - an assembly kit (template) and cable kits for the electrical connection. Skydro is also available with or without an integrated lighting unit, which makes it possible to obtain a numerous range of configurations simply by adding extra units (electrified or not).
