Poulsen. The company is particularly well known for its PH-lamps, designed by writer and designer Poul Henningsen since 1926 and still manufactured to this day.  The late Danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen was also a major contributor to Louis Poulsen’s ongoing success.

At CA Modern Home, our collection of Louis Poulsen products includes ceiling lights, floor lamps, table lamps, and wall lights. Some of the highlights include the Artichoke Pendant by Poul Henningsen, still considered to be his masterpiece over forty years after its debut.  It includes over ten steel arches and 72 “leaves” that allow the light source to remain covered regardless of the angle at which the fixture is viewed.  The Snowball Pendant Lamp is also by Henningsen and was designed in 1924.  The fixture emits a diffuse light that’s comfortable and free of glare.  You’ll notice that the fixture’s top portion will remain illuminated while the bottom portion remains dark.
