Herman Miller is among the first companies to produce modern home furniture and is considered to be among the most influential and respected. Since its founding in the early 1900s, the name has become synonymous with many innovative modern design pieces that have moved the industry forward and become cultural landmarks. The Eames Molded Plastic Rocker which debuted in 1948 and the Eames Lounge Chair are two examples of Herman Miller’s stunningly timeless pieces. Isamu Noguchi’s coffee table is still sold to this day and remains an eye-catching, innovative work. The Aeron chair by Don Chadwick is one of the more recent pieces having made its debut in 1994 and it is among the collection at New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
