Next Year's Design Trends

There are only two days left in 2015, marking another great year for the modern home furniture industry and the interior design community as a whole.  Design is constantly changing and evolving, and 2016 is sure to bring an exciting array of new trends.  Let's take a look at a few of the top decorating trends you may be seeing more of next year.

Once relegated to outdoor furniture use or bed frames, black metals will likely become more visible inside the home for use as a bathroom fixture, flatware or simple hardware.  Designers are increasingly incorporating it with the use of glass and wood and it won't be unusual to see pieces comprised entirely of matte black metal.

Expect a strong influence of Mexican midcentury modernism. Thanks to the pioneering efforts of designers like Pepe Mendoza and Arturo Pani in the 19th century, their use of clean lines influenced by European and American trends will be making a comeback.  Pieces made with a mixture of wood, metal, and stone will likely emerge alongside other unusually shaped pieces using materials like jacaranda and exotic rosewood.

Industrial-looking furniture, rosy metallics, and rounded furniture are other examples of trends that may become prevalent in 2016.  Where do you see design trends heading next year?

This update is provided by CA Modern Home, offering an extensive selection of modern design furniture by respected brands and designers like those under the Herman Miller brand, including Charles & Ray Eames.  Call us at 1-800-605-1859 for any sales inquiries or more information.
