Product description
Designed by Nils Strinning
The String System is a Scandinavian shelving system designed to make all your storage problems go away. Build the shelf of your dreams by designing your own unique combination, mixing metal shelves, wooden shelves, and colorful elements––the possibilities are endless.
The magazine shelf provides a minimal and functional way to display magazines. The unique wire design is the same as other elements of the String System. Make it pop by picking a color different from the rest of your system, or coordinate the color with whatever color panels you have.
The String Shelving System is well known for its distinctive wire panels, first introduced by architects Nisse Strinning and Kajsa Strinning back in 1949 as part of a competition to design a shelf that was affordable, easy to ship, and easy to assemble. In the 1950s and 1960s, String was installed in the UN Headquarters offices in New York.
